About the Finance department
The Finance Department provides services covering FP&A, incorporating budgeting and financial analysis, Financial Accounting, incorporating Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (patient billing and sundry debtors) Private Practice administration, Cash Management.
The total revenue of the hospital is approximately $1.3 billion per annum.
About the role
Reporting to the Director Financial Accounting, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating and leading the preparation, analysis and delivery of audit and tax related reporting, and the continual review of internal accounting policies and procedures ensuring compliance with relevant Australian Accounting Standards, Department of Health policies and Ministerial directions, and other relevant statutory obligations.
You will also support the team's purpose to drive a strong financial control culture through partnership and evaluation.

Strong attention to detail, with proven experience in policy review and meeting governance and compliance requirements Demonstrated experience with tax regulatory requirements and reporting Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communications skills Highly developed time management, problem solving and conflict resolution skills with ability to meet strict deadlines Sound analytical skills, ability to interpret data and provide recommendations Our benefits
