The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.Ahpra is committed to providing a culturally safe work environment that reflects the diversity of the communities in which we operate and serve.This is a full time position, fixed term, Melbourne working a hybrid arrangement.About the roleThe Multiprofession policy team, which sits within the Strategy and Policy Directorate, works across all professions to build Ahpra's regulatory policy function by leading shared policies, improving existing policies, growing policy capability and promoting the value of consistency across the National Scheme, with the aim of achieving best possible outcomes for the public, practitioners, Ahpra and the National Boards.The Policy and Project Officer will manage individual policy projects, including undertaking policy analysis and providing high level Secretariat support to National Scheme working groups, to contribute to the development of multiprofession registration standards, guidelines and policies.About youYou have a background in policy development, analysis and implementation, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and people skills.As an individual you are a critical thinker, have excellent judgement with an innovative approach to problem solving, and you prioritise and value collaboration and developing strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.You will also have the ability to foster an inclusive team culture and deliver tangible outcomes.Hybrid working environment, 2 office days/3 at home17.5% leave loadingYou will receive a company laptop and working from home kit.Inclusive and supportive colleagues, enjoy coming to work and collaborating with your teamSalary packaging arrangements including novated leasing and education expensesDiscounted health insurance with Private HealthAttractive salary of $113,718 per annum plus SuperannuationIf you would like to be part of this work and contribute to access to safer healthcare, we would love to hear from you.To apply:Click 'Apply for this job' to submit your application.
