The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria's largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, subacute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities.
We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
The Cardiology Department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is a major tertiary and quaternary referral centre, with particular strengths in interventional Cardiology, electrophysiology and pacing, and adult congenital heart disease.
The Department is affiliated with the University of Melbourne with major interests in arterial grafting, off-pump bypass, valve repair, aortic and adult congenital surgery.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Cardiology team.
The position would be suitable for a Cardiologist with major commitment and track record in clinical Cardiology.
This fixed term appointment of 7 hours per fortnight is to participate in the echocardiography service, transthoracic and transoesophageal, and our Congenital Cardiac Clinic at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, City campus in Parkville.
About You: Must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of AustraliaFRACP and AHPRA registration in CardiologyExcellent interpersonal and organisation skillsCommitment to teaching and research in a multidisciplinary environmentUnderstanding of complex organisations and change conceptsUnderstanding of resource managementSubspeciality expertise in EchocardiographyA Values-based organisation offering great prospects for career diversity and professional advancement, including training and research opportunities, and access to mentorship and leadership programs.
