The services and controls team provides support to project development across all of Fortescue.
The Estimating Team supports the development and assurance of all Capex estimates.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain the Capital Intensity initiative for Energy and Metals projects.Maintain and update the following workstreams:Cost BlocksCountry FactorsLearning CurvesCapex LibraryDOME interfaceWBS structureConduct monthly meetings with the project teams and Engineering to discuss project Capital Intensity Initiatives.Collaborate and coordinate with the estimating manager and estimating workstreams.Provide guidance for the Estimators.Ensure that lessons learnt and common initiatives are shared across the portfolio of projects.Qualifications and ExperienceDegree qualification or equivalent experience in Project Controls, Planning, or Estimating in the construction, design, or engineering areas.Prior experience in a similar lead estimating role, preferably in the resources and/or renewable energy sector and within a complex construction and engineering environment.Minimum 15+ years of experience as a practicing estimator at senior and leader level using industry recognised estimating systems.Experience working for a multi-national (client-side) and/or Tier 1 Project Consultant.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and software development skills.Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment collaborating with other like-minded team members and adjacent project teams.A robust capability in adapting and understanding multidisciplinary requirements such as engineering, system, and data concepts.Strong data management and manipulation skills, with excellent computer literacy skills.Strong team skills.About UsBe part of something big.
