Team Leaders/Supervisors (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time Timberlink Australia & New Zealand is a sustainable leading softwood timber products manufacturing and distribution business, employing over 600 people.
Our world class manufacturing sites are located close to some of the best renewable plantation pine resources in the world - Bell Bay in Tasmania & Tarpeena in South Australia.
Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.
About the role: An opportunity has arisen for a Production Team Leader to join our NeXTimber team at our Tarpeena manufacturing site.
The main objective of this role is to provide outstanding support and guidance to your crew on a daily basis, ensuring that production is completed on time and in line with the daily requirements.
The successful candidate will be required to work Monday - Thursday 6am - 4pm on day shift and is a key permanent, full-time role in our business.
This position is based in our state of the art, brand new NeXTimber facility, with massive opportunity for growth as we increase production in 2025.
Key responsibilities include: Assist in the training of production personnelProvide general advice and service to all crew membersEffectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to drive production outcomesUnderstand and implement quality control standards and conditions in line with quality proceduresActively promote a safety-first cultureEssential personal attributes: Ability to work co-operatively in a highly effective teamPossesses a strong work ethicCustomer focused and service orientedProactive, professional and responsiblePrevious experience leading teams in a manufacturing or fast-paced environment is highly desired along with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
