plus 17% superKey ResponsibilitiesConduct health economic evaluations of emerging interventions for chronic diseases, with a focus on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease, and diabetes.Contribute to the development of simulation models using cutting-edge methodologies.Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team consisting of leading health economists, clinicians, biostatisticians, and health informaticians.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated researcher with a strong interest in health economics of chronic disease.
The ideal candidate will be eager to drive meaningful change through extensive collaborations and the use of cutting-edge simulation modeling techniques.
The successful candidate is expected to support, develop, and manage a program of health economics under the direction of A/Prof An Duy Tran.
The appointee will also provide support to health economics research related to clinical studies and provide inputs to grant application development that fosters new collaborations and secures funding.Your Responsibilities Will Include:Contributing to a range of health economic projects, including economic evaluations alongside clinical trials and simulation modeling in disease areas such as chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and diabetes.Providing support for the development of grant applications, including contributions to health economic study designs and analysis plans.Producing and assisting with preparing high-quality research outputs, including methodological and empirical research findings, for publication in peer-reviewed journals.Disseminating research findings through scientific meetings, including seminars, workshops, and conferences.Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking individuals with exceptional quantitative skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a self-driven commitment to conducting impactful research in health economics and simulation modeling.You Will Also Have:A master's degree or higher in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field (Level A).A PhD degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a closely related field (Level B).Proven experience in conducting health economic evaluations and proficiency in analyzing large, complex datasets.Demonstrated involvement in writing peer-reviewed articles, delivering conference presentations, and developing research grant proposals.Note: This role requires that the successful candidate undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
