Selection CriteriaSC1 Demonstrated commitment to Special Education and an understanding of Intellectual Disability and the implications for teaching and learning.
SC2 Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, evaluating the impact of learning programs on student growth.
SC3 Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice.
SC4 Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community.
SC5 Demonstrated experience in reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning.
SC6 Ability to work collaboratively as a productive team member and support wider school initiatives.
RoleThe classroom teacher focuses on planning, preparation, and teaching to achieve specific student outcomes.
Responsibilities may include:
Direct teaching of groups and individual students;Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation;Participating in parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings;Undertaking other classroom-related duties as determined by the School Principal.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum areas.
