Working in a dynamic, collaborative team and reporting directly to the Financial Reporting Manager this is a terrific opportunity to work in the business finance team which is responsible for financial control, management reporting and funding & treasury management.

Reporting directly to the Financial Reporting Manager you will be responsible for the following duties: Collaborate on the Odessa Platform project for the implementation of the finance, reporting and analytics streams Prepare reconciliations of key balances including analysis and resolution of reconciling items Analyse and resolve issues in source systems that impact finance processes Prepare month-end accounting journals Take ownership of accounts payable processes and controls Preparation of management reporting and provision of monthly, quarterly, and year-end variance analysis and commentary Assistance in preparing the year-end budget and forecast Work closely with the broader business including Operations, Data, Treasury, and Sales and develop strong working relationships with those stakeholders Handle a large volume of data and complex transactions across multiple systems Assist in the preparation and review of complete, accurate and timely financial statements, regulatory reporting, GST returns, and tax returns Assist with the financial year-end processes, including the external audit Enable process improvements to reduce manual processes and increase efficiency Preparation of reporting and analysis in support of the business' securitisation funding program Assist in cash flow reporting and liquidity management Support project delivery, including system upgrades and software replacement Provide regular reporting and insights to key stakeholders to drive improved business decisioning You….. To be successful with this opportunity, you must have experience in the following areas: Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Economics or business related disciplines together with CA or CPA qualifications.
Minimum of four years experience working in Financial Services ideally with asset finance exposure Comprehensive knowledge of Australian financial statement reporting and accounting standards Experience with securitisation and the associated liquidity and risk management A track record of working with financial data, preparing journals, reconciliations, and the preparation of accounting records and financial statements.
