Transport and Main Roads (Organisation site )Metropolitan Region; Program Delivery & Operations; Infrastructure Management and Delivery; Brisbane CBDThe purpose of the Senior Cultural Heritage Officer is to provide guidance and expertise in cultural heritage (Indigenous and non-Indigenous) to Metropolitan Region activities including Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP) projects.Some of your responsibilities will include:• Fulfil the role of cultural heritage advisor on multiple project delivery teams, providing cultural heritage risk assessments, advice and management services as part of the implementation of regional programs, including the planning, design, construction and maintenance of QTRIP projects and associated regional operations.• Promote, foster and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Traditional Owner groups, concerned with the management of cultural heritage relevant to the department's interest.• Provide information and advice to stakeholders on relevant legislation, departmental policy, procedures, and requirements for cultural heritagemanagement.• Develop and implement new systems and procedures to improve cultural heritage management performance within regional operations and also within the wider Department.• Identify, develop and deliver training packages to ensure that relevant stakeholders have an awareness of cultural heritage management requirements.Applications will remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/605473/24Closing Date: Sunday, 08 December 2024Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity .Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.DocumentsBefore applying for this vacancy please ensure you read the documents below.KeywordPlease use * for wildcard searches.Search exact phraseCheck to search for the exact phrase.
