The
FP&A Analyst
plays a pivotal role in providing strategic financial and commercial support, collaborating closely with FP&A Managers and the country finance team.
Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, this position covers a diverse portfolio across our businesses, ensuring alignment with the Global Business Line (GBL) Team's objectives.The role details
Commercial Finance Business PartneringStrategic Support and Challenge : Deliver insightful financial analysis and recommendations to drive business growth and strategy development.Performance Management : Monitor actual results against forecasts, providing critical feedback and corrective action plans.Business Development : Support investment decisions with rigorous financial appraisals and strategic insights.Commercial Finance Insight : Offer proactive insights that enhance commercial finance decision-making.Cost, Cash, and Capital LeadershipControl operating costs in line with budgets and forecasts.Enhance forecasting accuracy through regular reviews and corrective actions.Pre-approve cost or capital expenditure overspend, ensuring fiscal discipline.Optimise working capital and drive timely billing and collections.Improve debtor management and reduce aged debt.CapEx Management : Prioritise capital allocation to maximise returns and conduct thorough post-investment appraisals.Compliance and Risk Management : Implement core mandatory controls and rectify any identified issues promptly.Facilitate effective communication and adherence to Intertek's authority policies.Address audit points swiftly, ensuring robust control environments.Business Partnering and LeadershipStakeholder Collaboration : Partner with Global Business Line Leaders, offering support in financial analysis and strategic planning.Facilitate monthly performance calls and prepare comprehensive analysis reports.Work effectively within a matrix organisation, liaising with country, regional, and group finance teams.Leadership and Vision : Lead by example, fostering an environment aligned with Intertek's vision and strategy.Planning, Budgeting, and ForecastingOversee budget preparation and enhance forecasting accuracy.Conduct strategic planning to identify growth opportunities and enhance service profitability.Contract and Investment ManagementBid and Contract Guidance : Provide oversight and guidance for major bids, ensuring optimal pricing strategies and profitability analysis.Review customer contracts regularly to enhance profitability.Evaluate investment proposals, ensuring alignment with company goals and ROI standards.Global Leadership ExpectationsLeadership : Foster a culture of excellence and innovation, promoting Intertek's 10x culture and strategy.Team Focus : Engage in team development activities, contributing to process improvements and workload management.Compliance and Safety : Uphold all safety policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of workplace health and safety compliance.Intertek is an Equal Opportunity employer and it is our Company's policy to employ suitably qualified or experienced persons without discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment due to their ancestry, age, disability, genetic information, gender, gender identity, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected group status.We recognise and respect the value and contribution that individuals of different backgrounds, cultures and perspectives bring to our organization and we are committed to providing a positive, safe and inclusive work environment for everyone in our diverse and talented team.Intertek is also committed to ensuring our recruitment process is fair, equitable and accessible for people from all backgrounds.
