Marketing Full-time Location: Hybrid | Eveleigh, NSW, AU · We work hybrid, with 3-4 days from our HQ in South Eveleigh, Sydney.
Level: Senior · A role for someone with advanced knowledge and skills.
May involve mentoring, leading others or specialisation.
Typically at least 5 years of experience.
Our national incubators, commercialisation training, and community brings together the entrepreneurs, scientists, business leaders, and policymakers to solve complex challenges with deep tech.

Cicada Innovations, Australia's leading deep tech incubator, is looking for a Senior Community & Events Manager to help shape the future of innovation.
Reporting to the Group Executive - Impact & Ecosystems, you'll lead the development of a national strategy, empower local teams, and deliver meaningful experiences that connect startups, program participants, and partners across Australia.
What you'll be responsible for Develop and execute a national strategy for Community, Events & Experience, aligned with Cicada's mission to support the deep-tech ecosystem. Cross-functional Team Management: Mentor and guide local teams to deliver exceptional resident onboarding, community engagement, and events. Community Management: Shape the journey for startups from onboarding to alumni, and build initiatives that foster inclusion and engagement. Skills you'll need Generates multiple innovative/new/novel ideas to solve a problem. Decision Making: Considers the costs and benefits of potential actions and determines the most appropriate one. Problem solving: Identifies problems and develops logical solutions that address the problems.
