Conditions apply.Make an impact at SercoAs a Medical Officer, you will make a positive impact by:You will be responsible for the delivery of medical services including **aviation-based services such as fitness to fly assessments, aviation medicals and aircrew clinical health management to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
** GP's not holding an AvMed qualification may be considered.You will be required to provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO), Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager and Commanders of units.You may be required to provide the services in either an outpatient setting or as inpatient care within a hospital or medical centre.You possess the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.About ADF Health ServicesIn partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 40+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.About our Tindal Health CentreTindal Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Tindal, 15km outside Katherine, and 320km south-east of Darwin.
The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 550 Defence members, surging at regular Air Force exercise periods throughout the year.
The health centre provides general medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy and mental health services.
It also operates a 10-bed inpatient low dependency day ward.
