Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for providing support to the Financial Accounting Manager and financial accounting team.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Processing of bank entries, non-complex accruals, prepayments, allocation entries and other non-complex journals for month-endPreparation of selected balance sheet reconciliations as well as assist in the follow-up of supporting documentation for branch related balance sheet balancesSupport the Financial Accountant in the review and submission of CAPEX requests, asset disposals and transfers as well as general fixed asset register maintenanceReview of GST and preparation of BAS returns for manager review prior to submissionProvide assistance to the Financial Accountant in the compilation of other tax lodgements such as FBT and Income taxPartner with the business in relation to financial queries/requestsCompile and assist in the review of annual financial statementsAssist in providing supporting documentation for external audit purposesSupport in the implementation and testing of system process improvementsAd hoc analysis, reporting and project work as requested by the Financial Accounting Manager Reasons you'll stay Team: You'll have the support and direction you need to be successful and a wonderful team around you to make coming to work a joy

Who you are You'll be a natural problem solver, with the ability to diagnose and find solutionsYou'll have tertiary qualification in finance or accounting and working towards your CA/CPAYou'll have some experience in an accounting role, with demonstrated advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (essential).Whilst experience in the waste, logistics or heavy industry is a nice to have, more important to us is the drive and resilience required to succeed in a high growth, dynamic environmentYou have expertise across full suite of Microsoft modulesMicrosoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (FinOps)You'll be someone having a firm grip on financial accounting principles and concepts with strong attention to detail and accuracyYou are across the latest trends in the AI space related to financeYou're a team player, willing to pitch in when requiredYou're highly organised with excellent time management skills Are you with Us?
