We are a small practice that offers personalised medicine in addition to regular general practice, women's health, skin cancer surgery, and immunisations.

Qualifications & experience Current Australian Nursing Registration - RN or EN with current and unrestricted AHPRA registrationExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including good clinical note takingFlexibility on hoursAbility to multi-task and work effectively in a busy environmentCommunicate efficiently with other people in our organisation and work both independently and as part of the teamBe proactive and show initiativePrevious General Practice experience is preferred, but not requiredNational Police CheckCurrent right to work in AustraliaOpportunity for learning added skills such as venepuncture, blood collection, cosmetic procedures etc will be provided where neededTasks & responsibilities As a clinical staff member within the practice, you will be expected to perform a variety of tasks to make the practice run smoothly.
Your duties will include, but may not be limited to the following:Venesections, cannulation, venepuncture, urinalysis, ECG, spirometry, audiometry, and routine observations where required.Immunisations, including babies and children.
Please note, we do not do COVID vaccinations at this clinic.Safe administration of medication, intramuscular injections, immunisations, and intravenous infusions.Sterilisation of instruments.Assisting with minor procedures, wound care, and patient preparation for these episodes of care.Ensure that clinical records are accurate and reflect the care and procedures administered, in keeping with required standards.Chronic disease management plans, general and mental health care plans, including liaising with other community agencies and Allied Health Professionals.
Patient education.Some reception duties, including taking phone calls and various other tasks as needed.Recall patients for results, follow-up, ongoing patient care, etc.Have a strong emphasis on creating a friendly, caring, and enjoyable work environment.Maintaining the day-to-day operation and cleanliness of the surgery, including stocktake and refill.We work 4 days a week - our hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00-17:15.
Reliability is expected, as we are a small team that work together very closely.The current position is for 4 days per week.Salary is dependant on qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Nurses Award (MA000034).
Pay range is $28 - $45 per hour.A permanent contract can be discussed after a successful 3-6 month probation period. #J-18808-Ljbffr
