They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to lead and grow their team of safety professionals, supporting business operations and fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and oversee the company's HSE strategy, policies, and programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.Lead the recruitment, development, and management of a high-performing HSE team, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth.Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.Collaborate with senior management to integrate HSE objectives into the overall business strategy and operational plans.Oversee incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Provide HSE training and education to employees at all levels of the organisation, promoting a proactive safety culture.Prepare and present regular reports on HSE performance to executive leadership and stakeholders.Drive initiatives to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility within the company.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior HSE role, preferably within manufacturing and trade service industries.Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful HSE programs and initiatives.In-depth knowledge of HSE Acts, regulations, standards, and best practices.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Proven ability to build and lead a team of safety professionals.Experience with standards implementation and certification to ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are highly desirable.What's on Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to make a significant impact on the health, safety, and environmental practices of a growing company.Collaborative and inclusive work environment.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.How to Apply: If you are a strategic and visionary HSE professional with a passion for safety, sustainability, and team development, we invite you to apply.
