About the role: It has been identified by Jewish Care that there are a number of our clients, whom with assistance can stay in their own homes.
The Domestic Assistant role with BlueStar is the perfect role for those looking to start a new career, or simply would like to find a way to contribute to the community.
Some of what you will do: Be able to do a variety of domestic assistance tasks including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping down tables, benches, showers, bathrooms, stovetops, fridges and cupboards, and unescorted shopping. Have the ability to brighten the day of our elders in the community. Safely use the cleaning products and equipment that the clients provide. Wear the personal protective equipment that Jewish Care supplies, such as disposable aprons and gloves. About You: Empathy, Respect, Dignity, and Social Justice mean a great deal to you. You have an understanding of the need for privacy and confidentiality. An ability to work efficiently, independently and without direct supervision. Domestic cleaning experience is highly regarded. Kind, friendly and reliable.
