Information Management Officer

As the Information Management Officer (Training and Development), you'll be part of the team at the forefront of transforming how the Department of Justice and Attorney-General manages its digital information.
You will develop new and innovative ways to deliver training and communication materials to users throughout DJAG to improve information management maturity.
You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with recordkeeping and IM policies for the Department's content services platform (CSP) and other systems.
You will also ensure that organisation information management plans, strategies and frameworks are supported by strategic communications, onboarding, training materials and broad engagement with impacted end users.
You will work closely with subject matter experts, information asset owners and business unit IM practitioners to ensure that modern and digital processes and practices are supported with high quality support and training materials.
Your key responsibilities:
Assist in the design and delivery of multi-channel and inclusive learning and communication strategies for a diverse range of clients of varying levels of digital competency.
Develop end user products and communication materials including training guides, instruction manuals, online training modules/content and job aids to facilitate effective, consistent and informative client service delivery.
Undertake the design, development, scheduling and delivery of training, using a blended model that includes individual instruction, facilitated training, workshops, online training material and system demonstrations.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including the ability to influence leadership teams in the successful management of change by the transfer of business and/or technical skills and knowledge.
Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability:
Demonstrated experience with designing, developing and delivering innovative and engaging blended learning solutions incorporating best practice training methodologies.
High level communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills including consultation and negotiation with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Coordinate and obtain the necessary resources required to deliver training and development activities within agreed timeframes and to specified outcomes, including negotiating with vendors, partners and suppliers.
Thorough knowledge of current and emerging Information Management trends, standards and practices including management and support of content service platforms, use of Microsoft and collaboration tools and managing their impact on IM.
Ability to work with clients to raise awareness of IM standards that influence the implementation of electronic tools such as electronic documents and records management systems.
Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment that fosters initiative, innovation and equity, while being receptive to feedback to ensure that learning and knowledge management materials are aligned to the Department's strategic vision.

Perform other essential duties and tasks specific to the position as required.
