Marquis Macadamias owns and operates two of the world's largest macadamia processing facilities with one located in Lismore in Northern NSW and the second, located in Bundaberg Queensland.
Marquis Macadamias has a global reputation as a supplier of the highest quality macadamia products.
We are looking to appoint a motivated Quality Manager in our management team in our Bundaberg factory.
QUALITY MANAGER
The Quality Manager (Bundaberg) is responsible for ensuring the quality of the products produced at the Bundaberg facility are safe and meets the specifications and expectations of the customers, Marquis Marketing and relevant regulator bodies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Ensure that the Quality System is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with relevant certifications and standards.
Implement and maintain a third-party audited HACCP system.
Establish and maintain quality standards throughout the factory.
Prepare and update the Internal Quality Audit Schedule, follow-up on Internal Audit Report findings.
Implement a program of continual improvement in the Quality Area.
Prepare and update the Calibration Schedule, arrange calibration tests, co-ordinate external calibration activities, and record calibration test results, check that results conform with specified tolerances.
Monitor non-conformances and ensure that the correct actions are taken to control non-conforming product and to prevent recurrence of the non-conformance.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Report on the status of the Quality System at appropriate meetings.
Review inspection and test results; oversee all inspection and testing activities; conduct random inspections and tests.
Oversee export compliance including Authorised Officer (AO) activities as required.
Manage all Customer Complaints.
Carry out specific tasks as nominated by the General Manager.
Perform other duties as required by the company.
Authorise all Certificates of Analysis (COA's), the use of hold stock for any reason or the change to the quarantine status of all products.
Qualifications, Skills and Selection Criteria
Demonstrated understanding of all job-related reporting requirements (non-conformances, maintenance problems, hazards, production issues).
Demonstrated understanding of all WHS legislation and best practice in the workplace.
Demonstrated understanding of HACCP, BRC, WSEP, Halal and Kosher Standards.
Demonstrated knowledge of the macadamia industry.
Experience in quality systems in the food industry.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with other workers.
High level of computer literacy and proficiency with Excel, Word and data software.
Well-developed organisation and time management skills.
Willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
