Secondment opportunity: Business Partner (BP) Information Services and Technology (IS&T) – Perth, WA Iron Ore Rail, Port and Utilities 5-month primary carer's leave coverage.

We are looking for an energetic and inspiring leader to join our team until April/May 2025 as Business Partner, IS&T – Iron Ore Rail, Port & Utilities based in Perth, Western Australia.
This business partner (BP) role is the IS&T strategic partner to our Iron Ore customers operating in the Rail, Ports and Utilities divisions.
The BP works with senior leaders in these teams to understand their business problems and leverages the skills across IS&T to provide solutions.
This is a customer-centric role that requires excellent stakeholder engagement at all levels in the organisation, a strong understanding of the Iron Ore business and the ability to operate across a large geographical area.
This role is accountable for leading a small, multi-disciplinary team that works across the broad IS&T business to deliver the maximum value considering the Iron Ore divisions' investment in IS&T. Reporting to the General Manager IS&T, Iron Ore, and working within our global Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team , you will: Be committed to the safety of yourself and your team and lead by example with an ever-present growth mindset.
Integrate into the Iron Ore divisions as a trusted partner to understand their business strategy, problems and opportunities and provide guidance with innovative solutions.
Be the IS&T liaison and lead for the development and implementation of technology roadmaps and be accountable for solution delivery for the associated Iron Ore divisions.
Work collaboratively with the IS&T Project Delivery team to provide sustainable solutions per customer requirements.
Promote and drive value extraction from the technology currently being used and champion the evaluation and use of new technology in collaboration with global counterparts in IS&T. ?

To succeed in this role, you will have: A strong safety focus, a commitment to your own safety and to those around you A tertiary qualification in engineering, finance, technology or similar discipline The ability to build, influence and maintain key relationships with a diverse range of peers, wider team members and stakeholders – this role is less about your IS&T skillset (you have a broad team of talented individuals with that skillset) and more about your relationship and communications competency and performance-based abilities The capability to critically analyse data and make effective strategic and operational decisions based on information provided and drive issues to resolution A competent and visible leadership style of guiding, mentoring, developing and empowering team members resulting in positive employee engagement Where you will be working This role is based in Perth, Western Australia, out of our Central Park office, working Monday – Friday, with ad hoc and regular travel to sites in the Pilbara.
