Senior WHS Partner | NSW State Government ASAP Start | Estimated 6-month assignment, strong potential to extend $725 per day + Super | 40 hours per week NSW State Government | Hybrid Parramatta + WFH About the Company Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for the management of the NSW Government's Aboriginal housing portfolio.
About the Role They are currently seeking a Senior WHS Partner to join their team in Parramatta with flexibility to work a few days from home per week.
This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a strong potential to extend.
Working within the Strategic Support Business unit, you will be responsible for the provision of work, health and safety services across your portfolio of clients to promote and maintain a safe workplace, add value to business units, and achieve performance, achieving Departmental objectives.
Responsibilities Review WHS development plan Scrutinize outcomes of psychosocial surveys, determine priorities for risk assessment and mitigation Lead and manage the implementation of WHS strategies, embedding them within the business Drive a safety culture that will positively influence morale, empowers individuals, and achieves a safe and healthy work environment Consult with Senior Managers, employees, and stakeholders to effectively implement WHS management systems Deliver consistent, responsive and expert coaching, advice, interventions, and solutions Provide expertise and guidance to Managers on WHS processes to identify and monitor safety Track, monitor and report all accidents and incidents, identifying trends and issues Gather and collate information, generating reports Implement innovative improvement strategies to eliminate and control risks, reducing injuries and illnesses Oversee incident management activities and build effective capability to prevent recurrence Complete WHS monthly executive reporting and quarterly Risk Management Reporting Participate in WHS committee and complete secretariat functions Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships facilitating partnerships, engagement, collaboration, and contribution of ideas Partner with Safe Work NSW and industrial associations including consultative committees Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements About You Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across all levels Effective emotional intelligence with clear traits as an initiator and persistent in achieving improvements Solid negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite Safety conscious with a high attention to detail Requirements Tertiary Qualifications in Work Health & Safety or relevant industry experience Minimum 5-8 years WHS experience Experience in psychosocial hazard assessment and mitigation strategies Willingness to undergo a National Police Check Valid Driver's licence & reliable transport Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment How to Apply Applications will be reviewed within 48 hours of the job posting.
