The Data Center Global Services team is looking for exceptional individuals to join our Controls organization as Controls Engineer for deploying and servicing of the building automation systems within Amazon data centers.

You will possess a technology background that enables you to undertake the challenges of sophisticated controls platforms and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically in aligning building controls and automation with the larger objectives of the business.
Key job responsibilities Deployment of data center controls, on time, with effective management of vendors to ensure minimal defects at the point of Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO).
Delivery of critical projects to upgrade data center automation.
Service and support provided to partner teams, providing diagnosis and resolution of Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), Large Scale Event (LSE), Critical Scale Event (CSE), and other operations impacting events.
Resolution of tasks within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Delivery of further initiatives to improve the efficiency of our data centers or our operations procedures.

Be at the nexus of action: Your involvement in data center delivery will be mission-critical to the successful deployment of our data centers.
You won't just be observing from the sidelines; you'll be representing Amazon, building relationships across a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Build at scale: Build and operate infrastructure at an enormous scale, participating in Amazon's global presence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience in building unified automated control system for enterprise level clients.
3+ years of experience with PLC or SCADA programming, and scripted programming languages.
Solid experience in inspection, testing, and commissioning of control systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Critical environments experience: data centers (preferred) or other critical environments (defense, pharmaceutical, hospitals, research laboratories, oil and gas).
Experience with BMS and/or EPMS solutions of Apogee, Building Controls, Struxureware/EcoStruxure, FactoryTalk, Niagara, Metasys, Foreseer, Decathlon, Ignition.
Working knowledge of Industrial Protocols: BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, OPC.
