About the role We are looking for an experienced Engineer to join our NSW Service team covering the Sydney Metro area.
The position has become available due to movement of an experienced team member into a different role and department within the business.
You will be joining a very stable and robust team of Engineers in NSW with several years of combined work experience within the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity to advance your service career and become part of a community of highly skilled Engineers across Australia and New Zealand servicing a broad range of customers including Public and Private Hospitals and Diagnostic Imaging Centres.
Service Engineers may be required to work anywhere within their Branch at short notice.
Working after-hours, on weekends, overtime, and per rosters is required.
Intra-state, inter-state, and overseas travel may be required for work tasks and training.
The highest standards of conduct, professionalism, demonstration of technical competency and Canon core values is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities: Install and service medical imaging equipmentEnsure that equipment is operating at optimum levelsEnsure that equipment specifications are tested and maintained for QA and complianceComplete relevant training and obtain required licenses for NSWPlan and lead installations and maintenanceSupport sales and applications staffProvide prompt customer service per contracted service levels and response timesDocumentation of work conducted and test resultsLeading, training and supervising other engineers as requiredOur ideal candidate will possess: Tertiary qualification in electronic, electrical, biomedical or computing engineeringCurrent Driver's licence is mandatoryMust have a valid NSW Electrical Contractor LicenceMust have or be able to obtain an NSW Radiation licence (if not currently held, a plan to obtain within 6 months of commencement – Canon Medical provides time and covers cost)WH&S certification is desirableCompetency in at least two modalities is desirable (eg.
CT, angiography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine)Service experience in Medical Imaging or similar equipment is desirablePrior field service experience in electronic, electrical or biomedical fields is highly desirableAbility to work autonomously as well as part of a teamExposure and experience working with Salesforce or equivalent CRM desirableGood written and verbal communication skillsAble to commit to support customers for multiple days away from home, with short noticeWhat's on offer?
