Part-time (0.6FTE) fixed term for 2 years at Westmead Precinct Block K Opportunity to provide operational leadership to the Faculty of Medicine and Health's Centre for Reproduction and Perinatal Centre Base Salary $121,508 - $137,032 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation About the opportunity We have an opportunity for an experienced Centre Manager to provide operational leadership for our Faculty of Medicine and Health (FMH) Impact Centre, the Reproduction and Perinatal Centre.
Utilising your leadership and operational management skills, you will provide the centre with the expertise to meet its strategic research agenda.
At Reproduction and Perinatal Centre we focus on the beginnings of life, spanning fertility, conception and into pregnancy and birth, with the aim to improve outcomes and quality of care for women, families and babies.
Your key responsibilities will be to: manage workforce and operational resources allocated to the Centre provide operational and administrative leadership by translating strategic goals into operational initiatives oversee the allocation of financial resources to support a responsive research environment ensure effective financial governance and control providing reporting, where required, for submission to committees, funding bodies or FMH finance manage multiple research project activities ensuring the on-time achievement of milestones and deliverables manage and influence internal and external stakeholder communications and resource allocation participate in a Community of Practice run across the portfolio of FMH Research Centres, contributing strategic and operational support, and advice on best practice and research management.
About you postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of training and experience are required (understanding and experience of health research is desirable) proven experience and background in research management, administration, health services, finance and business extensive experience in operational governance, administrative leadership and the capability to translate strategic goals into operational initiatives proven experience in research management with the ability to monitor multiple streams of research across multiple topics advanced interpersonal and relationship building skills including robust negotiating skills to deliver insights and recommendations to a broad and diverse range of stakeholders excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff, students, management, and external stakeholders capability in absorbing a high volume of information and the ability to work under pressure to balance competing agendas and demands in a fast-paced, time-pressured environment strong analytical, problem-solving expertise, effective time management skills and highly developed business acumen.
