About Us
The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.

The Organisational Development team's primary focus is to assist IUIH meet its strategic objective of growing and developing a culturally responsive workforce.

About the Role
The purpose of the position is to assist and support the enrolment and intakes of training and traineeship programs within the Pathways Our Way Academy and EMPOWA training RTO as well as supporting the workforce initiatives of the IUIH.

Day to Day Duties Include:
Provide support with enrolment of trainees and learners across the IUIH Network both face to face and online.
Support students and trainees to complete enrolment and compliance requirements including Blue Cards and Yellow Card Applications, Criminal History Checks and NDIS Clearance.
Assist with monitoring and completion of student/learner/trainee documentation (e.g., My journey, my growth booklets) and provide monthly progress reports.
Support training delivery with administrative tasks (e.g., printing booklets, gathering assessment completions, etc.).
Provide feedback to participants on their training progress and assist them with completions or barriers to completion.
Provide Admin support to POWA and EMPOWA training staff to support upcoming training, orientation and program days as scheduled.
Maintain pre intake and post intake compliance records including employment and enrolment forms, mandatory e-learning completions, etc.
Contribute to and maintain student and trainee databases and destination trackers to ensure all student and trainee records remain current and up to date.
Contribute to effective team performance which ensures IUIH continues to deliver the best service to community in line with program specific accreditations and ISO 9001 standards.
About You
To perform this role it is essential that the incumbent is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.

Previous experience in a relevant industry, service or an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the range of activities required.
Ability to work autonomously and display initiative, self-motivation, time management and solution focused.
Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).
Current Criminal History Check.
Current Blue Card.
Desirable, but not mandatory:
Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.
Previous experience in student/trainee admin support role.
