We represent a fast moving and inspiring Litigation Team within a dynamic and successful firm.
They are seeking a strong junior litigator for an exciting new role.
THE FIRM
You will be joining a reputable full service commercial law firm with a great culture.
The Melbourne office is based in the heart of the CBD.
The litigation team consists of experienced and inspiring professionals.
THE TEAM
The commercial litigation team is one of the leading teams in Melbourne.
They have experience working with a variety of clients on high profile matters.
In this role, you will work alongside leading Partners and set a trajectory path with a firm who offer strong mentoring and opportunities for career progression
YOU
To be successful in this role, you will be at lawyer or associate level and have a minimum of 2-4 years PQE in a general commercial litigation role.
In addition, you will have strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills.
You will:
have strong drafting skills and be adept at drafting all manner of Statements, Applications and Affidavitsbe adept at drafting briefs to Counsel and liaising with Counselhandle litigation and dispute resolution matters and appear at pre-hearing conferences and directions hearingshave experience in preparing cost estimates and calculating costs according to scaleprepare and attend mediations in Supreme and County Court proceedingsmentor junior lawyers and participate in business development initiativeshave experience managing court dateshave experience contributing to business development and marketing activities
