Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Transmission LinesElecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.The RoleWe are in search of a Electrical Design Engineer with experience in transmission lines to evaluate and design 330kV and 500kV stringing plans for the 700km EnergyConnect project. This role is based in our Sydney CBD office.Primary Accountabilities:Be the technical expert to evaluate and design 330kV and 500kV stringing plans.Meet/discuss regularly with the discipline lead to report progress and areas of concern.Contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of systems across the division.Manage customer relations to achieve mutually satisfactory and technical program outcomes.Implement initiatives for product improvement (project time scales) and exploit favorable opportunities for variations in project scope.Be a proactive member of the project, prepared to work outside conventional boundaries in cooperation with other team members to ensure complete coverage of each work scope.Liaise with project schedulers, expeditors and QA/QC staff.Skills & Experience:10+ years of experience designing 330kV and 500kV stringing plans.2+ years experience using PLS.Extensive experience in reviewing and analysing external electrical design submissions for infrastructure projects.Thorough understanding of Australian engineering codes, standards, and regulations governing transmission line projects.Proven ability to identify and resolve complex design issues that may impact project efficiency.Demonstrated track record of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Strong communication skills to articulate design recommendations and solutions clearly.Ability to adapt to evolving technology and engineering trends in the field.We're building a diverse workforce.Elecnor Australia is committed to being an employer of choice.
