About the role Working as part of Activ's Property Care team, our supervisors spend their days leading through example, mentoring, inspiring, and working alongside a crew of people living with disability, in completing gardening, grounds maintenance, landscaping and site clean-ups, for long-established high-profile customers.
Due to an internal staff movement this permanent position is available based from Maida Vale, working full time hours Monday to Friday and will pay $36.61 per hour (approx.
$72,500 equivalent).
Working for a not for profit also offers access to salary packaging options which could increase your take home pay a further $9,700* a year.
Duties include: Supervising and working with supported employees in gardening and grounds work for commercial contracts like mowing, pruning, weeding, whipper snipping, planting and leaf blowing.Supporting employees in learning and developing skills that enable them to pursue their goals and aspirations.Ensuring safe work practices including the operation of equipment.Maintaining records on attendance, job sheets and machine maintenance.What you need: Great attitude towards working with people living with disabilities.A strong work ethic and self motivation.Happy to work in the great outdoors doing physical work.Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.A passion for providing guidance and motivation and getting the best out of people.Sound knowledge of health and safety practices.Current Western Australian licence essential - LR license highly regarded.Being handy with tools, and having a horticulture, landscaping, gardening or trade background is considered beneficial, but not essential.We offer great benefits such as: Salary-sacrificing options up to $18,550 to increase your take-home pay.Training through Activ's RTO.Various staff benefits from our corporate partners.Employee assistance and wellbeing program.Opportunity to develop your leadership skills as part of a supportive team culture.Upskilling and training on modern gardening equipment, including tractors, ride on mowers, cylinder mowers, push mowers, slashers, hedgers, etc.A hardworking, motivated, inclusive, and open environment to both contribute to and thrive in, while giving back to the community.Submitting your application is easy, all we need is your current CV and a few questions answered and then one of the team will be in touch.
