In this role, you will manage the delivery of the Sims Limited sustainability strategy and plan to support the group in achieving its sustainability objectives, partnering with the business as a trusted advisor.Partner with the business as a trusted advisor and drive continuous improvement initiativesAct as a subject matter expert relating to Environment, Social and Corporate governanceUndertake analysis of sustainability data to identify key insights and trends recommending initiatives to drive improvement in ESG ratingsManage group level reporting systems, data collection and review for relevant reportingLead the preparation of Sims Limited voluntary disclosures and other mandatory reporting requirements such as, Climate Report, National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGERS) and annual sustainability reportLead and manage decarbonisation projects and other sustainability initiatives across the organisationMonitor and report on the progress of sustainability programs, ensuring they meet established targets and timelinesAbout you:Strong communication both written and verbal and are comfortable to engage with stakeholders at all levels.A passion for sustainability with the ability to partner with the business to provide pragmatic solutions.Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Sustainability, Engineering, Finance, Environment, LawExtensive experience in corporate sustainability with a listed company (ASX or other market)Proven experience in contributing to the development and execution of an ESG strategy, plans and supporting processes, systems, governance structures and associated performance measurementProduction of board level presentations and public reports such as a Sustainability ReportAnalytical skills and ability to manage large sets of dataExperience in managing energy efficiency, renewable energy, and carbon reduction initiatives is highly valuedProject management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within set timelinesIn return, we offer:Join an environmentally conscious company recognised as the world's most sustainable corporation in 2024 on Corporate Knights' Global 100 index.
