The position of Allied Health Assistant will support the delivery of allied health services across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of care within the context of chronic otitis media and its impacts upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
The scope of this position includes pre-clinic support (preparation) for audiology, speech pathology, and occupational therapy outreach, post-clinic data entry, in addition to health promotion and resource development under Allied Health supervision.
This position may require travel to rural and remote communities.
For this position, it is a genuine occupational requirement that it be filled by an Aboriginal person, or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.
