PPT - 35 hours per week, based in LismoreSCHADS level 4 + Super + Bonus leave + Generous salary packaging optionsCollaborative and supportive team culture, professional development opportunities and EAPThe roleAs a Financial Counsellor at Community Gateway, you will work within a collaborative team, providing high quality, person-centred financial counselling services to individuals experiencing financial difficulties.You'll play a key role in empowering consumers to manage their finances, alleviating the impact of credit over-commitment, and providing public education on personal finance management.A fantastic opportunity to work for an organisation with nearly 50 years of experience in Lismore as a provider of welfare and community capacity building programs and services.Selection Criteria:Diploma of Financial Counselling and relevant work experience.Knowledge of state and federal credit and debt legislation.Experience working with disadvantaged individuals and those in financial crisis.Strong service delivery skills, including assessment, counselling, and advocacy.Community development experience and strong computer skills.Understanding of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in a culturally appropriate way.Additional Requirements:Accreditation (or eligibility) with the Financial Counselling Association of NSW (FCAN).Current NSW driver's license.National Criminal History Records check.Why Join Us?At Northern Rivers Community Gateway, you'll work in a supportive environment dedicated to making a positive social impact.
