About the role
This full-time Accountant position assists the CFO, Finance Manager and Senior Accountant with accounting duties and projects as required, including but not limited to:
Balance sheet reconciliations for New Zealand accounts every monthReporting unreconciled and key issuesAssist with Australian taxation lodgement (payroll tax, BAS, FBT, ITR)Liaise with external accountants to ensure taxation documents for New Zealand are accurate and lodged on timePreparation of reconciliationsStocktake reportingActual versus budget analysisPreparation of general ledger journalsPreparation of supporting work papers and summariesAssistance with accruals and prepaymentsCash flow updatingBanking reconciliationsContribute to month end and year end processesAd hoc duties to improve the Finance functionAssist with annual auditsAssist with preparation of supporting work papers for auditsAssist auditors with enquiries and locating informationAssist the stores with stock take and ensure stock take reports completed within the timeframeMonthly inventory reconciliationEnsure reconciliations are accurate and up to dateEnsure data is entered correctly and in a timely mannerContinuously review general ledger accounts for accuracy and maintenanceAttention to detail, time management including the ability to prioritise tasks are fundamental skills that will set the successful applicant up for success.

Skills/Qualifications required
Academic qualifications in accounting are essential.Study towards CPA or equivalent highly regarded.Two plus years as a graduate/assistant accountant.Retail industry experience essential preferably within the apparel sector.Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills in Excel.Benefits

$70,000 to $75,000 + superannuation.
