Exciting & varied projects incorporating the latest technologiesDesign of products from concept through to productionPut your product design and leadership skills to workBased in Sydney's Inner West in a trendy new warehouse conversion, close to transport & great coffeeThis dynamic product development consultancy has already seen tremendous growth and is looking for a Project Manager with proven experience relating to the development of electronic, software and mechanical products to help us service an expanding pipeline of exciting projects.
This role would suit a seasoned project manager, or an experienced lead designer/engineer that is looking to take the next step in their career.

Typical responsibilities & activities include: Meet with clients to determine project needs & develop project plans/proposalsConduct detailed research to determine the most effective strategy for product architecture design and project deliveryManage multi-disciplinary product development resources (electronics, firmware, software, mechanical) as needed to deliver the projectDeliver high quality research and update presentations to ClientsManage project budgets, timelines, scope, BOMs, and client reportingWork closely with our Department Heads, Clients and other Engineers to ensure deliverables are fit for purposeLiaise with suppliers and manufacturers to arrange prototyping and productionOwn the client relationship, and ensure our clients receive a professional and premium experience with all interactionsProvide feedback into our processes and infrastructure to support future company growthThe ideal candidate will have most of the following: At least 5 years of product design experience in a relevant fieldPrevious hardware, electronics and software experience essentialHave previously performed a similar role in another company, or are looking to move from a design leadership position into a managerial roleAn in-depth understanding of product development and manufacturingTechnical leadership and/or project management experienceOutgoing and enjoys working with peopleOutstanding written and verbal communications skills in EnglishHighly organised and well presentedA high capacity and willingness to learn about continuously evolving technologiesRelevant tertiary qualifications, such as in Electronics or Mechatronic EngineeringPrevious consultancy experience will be highly regardedThis role is based in our Sydney office and is unsuitable for remote workers.
Salary will be negotiable based on experience.
