The OpportunityWe are looking for a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Slade Pharmacy Auchenflower, located inside the Wesley Specialist Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with healthcare professionals, gain invaluable hospital experience, and deliver optimum patient-centred care and pharmacy operations.
Situated next to Auchenflower Train Station, across from The Wesley Hospital, the location has convenient access to public transport.
About the RoleAs a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities include:
Dispensing medicationsCounselling patients on over-the-counter medicinesLearn to mix cancer therapies in a drug safety cabinet or using a closed-system safety deviceAssist with customer and clinic queriesProvide administrative duties and supportProcess orders and manage inventoryThis is a full-time position, offering 76 hours per fortnight. Shifts are scheduled between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Once fully trained, Pharmacy Technicians will participate in an on-call rotation, covering 1 in every 5 weekends and public holidays.
