About the Role:
The RCH Orthopaedics Department is seeking a fellowship-trained Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in the care of children and adolescents with orthopaedic conditions, particularly in foot and ankle.
The role provides surgical care for this important group of patients, supporting the existing world-standard team in its provision of care.
This is a Permanent Part Time position at 28 hours per fortnight within the Orthopaedics Department.
As the successful candidate, you will be a fellowship-trained surgeon with expertise in common orthopaedic conditions affecting children and adolescents.
The role involves a sessional commitment to provide direct surgical care of patients and families in specialist clinics and operating theatre settings.
You will participate in the education and training of orthopaedic trainees, surgical audit, and research activities of the unit.
There is a requirement to participate in the exclusive on-call roster for general paediatric orthopaedic emergency presentations.
Your Skills and Experience:
Current Registration as a Specialist Medical Practitioner with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Recognised Surgical qualifications with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Completion of approved training in Orthopaedic Surgery (AOA or equivalent) Completion of approved Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery If this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.
