Join us and accept the challenge of creating a better tomorrow.Job DescriptionAs a Java Developer, you will contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle. You will analyze user requirements to define business objectives, through to designing, implementing and maintaining Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency.On a regular basis you will define application objectives and functionality, ensure application designs conform with business goals. You will develop test software, identify and resolve any technical issues arising followed by creating detailed design documentation. You will be involved in software maintenance and optimization, project management, leading and liaising.Moreover, you will develop documentation to help users, prepare and produce releases of software components. You will support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review.QualificationsPrior experience in a similar role is essentialProficiency in Java, Springboot, Kafka, Gitlab, Postgress, Mysql, Wiremock and JunitSound knowledge of OOP Patterns and ConceptsFamiliarity with different design and architectural patternsSkill for writing reusable Java librariesKnowhow of Java concurrency patternsBasic Understanding of the concepts of MVC Pattern, JDBC and RESTful web servicesExperience in working with popular web application frameworks like Play and SparkRelevant Knowledge of Java GUI frameworks like Swing, SWT, AWT according to project requirementsAbility to write clean, readable Java codeBasic knowhow of class loading mechanism in JavaExperience in handling external and embedded databasesUnderstanding basic design principles behind a scalable applicationSkilled at creating database schemas that characterize and support business processesBasic knowledge of JVM, its drawbacks, weaknesses, and workaroundsImplementing automated testing platforms and unit testsIn-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, GitUnderstanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.Expertise in continuous integrationAdditional InformationNCS Australia is where you can feel at home, nurturing your talents and skills as we make tomorrow together, one day at a time.
