Professionalism, customer focus and a deep understanding of the financial markets and investment products are critical to success in this role.As a brand ambassador for the Wealth business, strong communication and presentation skills are integral to help guide and influence external networks while fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders to seek timely customer led solutions.Responsibilities:This role is responsible for the sales, execution and operational management of the Investment Desk which provides investment products to the Accredited Investor client base. The role is responsible for the development, design, and implementation of all associated sales journeys for the Investment products offered by HSBC.The role holder will coach, motivate and lead a team of Investment Specialists to deliver HSBC's investment service offering to high-net-worth and ultra high-net-worth customers.The role holder is required to act as a brand ambassador for HSBC's Wealth business and must therefore demonstrate high levels of professionalism, technical competence, plus strong communication and presentation skills to help guide and influence external stakeholders while fostering collaboration with internal teams to seek timely solutions.A core part of the role is to grow the Accredited Investor base and increase FUM for the Investment Desk.The role holder will need to work very closely with the Wealth product team to develop new products based on customer requirements and changing market conditions.Compliance with the relevant Group standards and regulatory requirements.Requirements:Leadership experience in wealth or financial markets preferably in the HNW/UHNW segment.Extensive experience (at least 15 years) within financial markets with a proven track record in both investment/markets, sales and leadership.Bachelor Degree in Finance/Commerce or related discipline with RG 146 training in Securities, Bonds and Managed Investments, Derivatives and FX.Relationship management experience in managing high net worth clients.Exceptional knowledge of Fixed Income, Managed Funds, ETFs, Equities and Structured Products.Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required.Proven strong leadership, motivational, analytical, planning communications, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.A high level of EQ coupled with the ability to set clear stretching goals for others and inspire them to achieve. Experience of coaching, mentoring, developing and mentoring others.Deep understanding of the regulatory framework governing the investment offering in the HNW segment including retail and wholesale advice.Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.We value different perspectives, we succeed together, collaborating across boundaries, we take responsibility, holding ourselves accountable to get things done.
