Psychologist/Specialist Psychologist/Senior Psychologist/Senior Specialist Psychologist Location: Parramatta (remote working arrangements available) x2 Temporary Opportunities until June 2025 and June 2027 $76,531 - $148,932 p.a.

Your role As part of the Psychological and Specialist Service team, you will work to deliver psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, and other professional services to DCJ client groups including children, young people, families, and carers.
You will also provide specialist consultation to caseworkers and managers.
In this particular role within the service, you will be required to: Facilitate and attend meetings with key stakeholders in a child's life, where you are tasked with gaining critical information, providing expert psychological advice, and providing alternate perspectives to an often stressed system.
Complete a file review / consultation report template, which includes recommendations pertaining to placement appropriateness, matching, transitions, and therapeutic needs of children and families.
The Successful Candidate Will Specialise in trauma informed therapeutic assessment and intervention, utilising evidence-based approaches for children, young people, and families.
Be experienced with formulation and diagnosis.
Conduct assessment and formulation, develop, and implement treatment plans for children, young people, families, and carers.
Equip staff through training and reflective practice sessions.
Have extraordinary time management skills and be able to handle a high administrative load.

The role is open to psychologists with general registration, registered psychologists with endorsements, and those who are provisionally (or eligible to be) registered.
What We're Looking For Tertiary qualifications in Psychology recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia, with either: Full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, or Provisional registration with an ability to fulfil full registration within the relevant timeframes.
Knowledge of theoretical and therapeutic frameworks that underpin assessment and intervention in the context of child abuse/neglect/trauma.
Current driver's licence as travelling will be required.
