We have a team of high-performing talented people who are passionate about what they do.The successful candidate(s) will be working alongside Data Scientists, DF Examiners and other DF specialists. You will be providing operational support to active investigations by preparing, enriching and delivering ESI material to multiple stakeholders including investigators, lawyers and partner agencies through Forensic and Legal Technology software.The role is varied in the day-to-day activities and may involve assisting stakeholders with the usage of Legal Technology software, processing and performing quality assurance on ESI etc.You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.What will you do?Assist internal stakeholders with the usage of Legal Technology software (eg. Nuix)Consult with stakeholders on workflows and processing optionsAssist with establishing data review strategies, including negotiating, establishing and executing protocols to manage privileged materialEngineer bespoke processes to meet stakeholder needsExecute data ingestion and processing for stakeholder reviewPerform enrichments on data to improve review effectivenessSeek new ways to enhance and maximise the probative value of dataPerform quality assurance over data at the beginning and end of investigative reviewAssist the brief preparation of active investigations and attend court when requiredYou must be an Australian Citizen at the time of applicationA Negative Vetting 2 (Top Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain oneAbility to plan, drive and deliver on multiple concurrent tasksStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to demonstrate initiative and self-managementStrong attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalExperience using Legal Technology software such as Nuix or RelativityDemonstrate ability to solve complex problemsCan work independentlyAn inquisitive mindExperience with scripting languagesFamiliarity with eDiscovery and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM)An understanding of an investigations workflowInterest in data and data scienceKnowledge of Digital Forensics tools, processes and methodologyAdditional InformationThis position is an AFP Band Level 6This role has been advertised in multiple locations and can be performed from any of the main AFP offices in those states/territories, with the exception of Canberra where the preference would be for applicants to be located in the Majura Forensic Facility.Candidates will be required to successfully complete a Psychological Assessment to be able to progress through this process.This role attracts a composite allowance in recognition of expanded working hours, normal patterns of attendance and shift patterns (such as afternoon shifts, weekends and Designated Public Holidays) that are required under the Operations working pattern. In accordance with the AFP Enterprise Agreement 2017- 2020, an employee who is required to work in accordance with the Operations working pattern will receive a Core Composite of 22% in addition to their Base Salary which will count as salary for superannuation.
