We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Data Governance to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.
The Senior Consultant, Data Governance is responsible for enabling the successful delivery of the QUT data governance program.
This includes supporting the design, development, implementation, management and education of the various data governance policies, procedures, processes as well as ensuring the governance roles are clearly defined and responsibilities are fulfilled.
The Senior Consultant, Data Governance will work with stakeholders in the business units from across the University as well as the Compliance Team, the Data & Analytics Team, Enterprise Architecture, Business Process Improvement and relevant third parties to participate in the design and delivery of the data governance program to improve data quality within our core systems and business processes.

What you need to succeed
Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a related discipline and extensive relevant experience.
High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly establish rapport, manage collaborative working relationships and engage with diverse client groups.
Demonstrated knowledge in data governance and process improvement techniques and toolsets, enterprise and data architecture.
Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create clear requirements, specifications and documentation and an ability to embed information, business process and system wide changes to a technical and nontechnical audience.
Demonstrated high level skills in problem solving and implementing effective solutions, including the ability to operate logically and methodically with rigorous attention to detail.
Demonstrated knowledge of information management practices including information lifecycle management, data modelling, master data management and carrying out business audits and requirements gathering.
