Complementing our local teams is our offshore office (which we own, control and are very proud of) which provides significant support and capacity to our local accounting teams.Please refer to our ownership entity, Savant Private, for more information on our group's portfolio (savantprivate.com.au).The Opportunity:We have a need for an SMSF Administrator/Accountant to join our team.Using your existing skillset, we see this role as comprising of four core functions:Being directly responsible for & liaising with clients regarding their SMSFPreparation of SMSF annual accounts, tax returns & financial statementsPeer review of SMSF annual accounts, tax returns & financial statementsSending requests for information required directly to clientsResearching and correctly applying tax requirements in line with legislation (noting that we do have in-house taxation and superannuation specialists to support you).Working from our Gold Coast (Bundall) office, the successful candidate will have a hard-working attitude, possess a strong attention to detail, have exceptional communication skills, take pride in their work, and love adding value to clients using their professional skillset.We offer flexible working arrangements that many of our staff choose to enjoy, including our nine-day fortnight offering or part working from home arrangements.Minimum Requirements:Minimum of 3+ years' experience in SMSF Administration/AccountingKnowledge working with SMSFsComfortable speaking with clients and internal colleaguesHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailSelf-motivated, can-do attitude and an ability to take initiativeBackground in an accounting practice or SMSF specialist firmTertiary qualification in a relevant field is preferredStrong organisational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills are crucialOur Offer:We are prepared to provide a competitive salary package for such a candidate and will entertain any sensible requirements (such as study support & flexibility, etc.), whilst balancing the need to have a prominent in-office presence given the high level of client engagement associated with the role.In addition, our business group has a history of providing its staff with the ability to progress their professional careers.
