Prince of Wales Hospital - Nurse Educator Telestroke Service Are you passionate about enhancing person-centred care and advancing telestroke practices?
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Educator to join our Telestroke team and help improve stroke care.
This contract may be extended.

The NSW Telestroke Service (TSS) Nurse Educator is responsible and accountable for the development and ongoing delivery of an education package to support the referring sites for the statewide Telestroke Service.
In partnership with the NSW Telestroke Working Group and The Telestroke Model of Care & Education Sub-Group, this position will take a lead role in developing and delivering the education components of the TSS.
This position is based at Prince of Wales Hospital and will be mobilised to travel to the referring sites in regional and rural NSW to support ongoing assessment of educational need and education delivery.
A significant portion of contact with referring sites will be undertaken from POWH via Skype.
Being based at Prince of Wales Hospital, The TSS Nurse Educator and the POWH Stroke Clinical Nurse Educator will work closely in partnership to ensure alignment and realization of common objectives.
This position will also form close relationships with Stroke / Neurology / Neurosurgery Clinical Nurse Educators at referring sites, where applicable.

Up to $9K for living expenses and $2.6K meal & entertainment & Novated Leasing.Discounted gym memberships with a Fitness Passport.Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees and family members.Discounted Private Health Insurance.Inner city location with direct access to eastern suburbs beaches, restaurants and transport links that are right at the front door.Selection Criteria : Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.Recent experience in the development of practice.Holding post-registration clinical or education qualifications relevant to the position.Demonstrated effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.Demonstrated ability to develop, coordinate, deliver and evaluate education and training programs with capacity to deliver across multiple referring sites.Demonstrated understanding of contemporary adult learning principles.Computer literacy and understanding of relevant information systems including a keen interest in telehealth and capacity to support staff to adopt new technologies.Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).Need More Information?
