Situated in NSW's Northern Rivers, and part of Byron Bay Shire, Billinudgel is 30 minutes' drive from the southern end of the Gold Coast.
Additionally, the region is serviced by two airports both within 30 minutes' drive, being Coolangatta Airport to the north, and Ballina Airport to the south.
With the state of art Tweed Hospital, some of the best beaches in the world, Mt Warning, hiking trails, excellent schools, and multiple Tafe & University campuses all within easy access, this could be the perfect region to make your Sea and/or Tree Change
About the Role
We are currently looking for a Concrete Production Supervisor for our Billinudgel / Brunswick Heads plant.
Roles in Concrete Plants are fast paced and will require you to be a strong problem solver, and be process driven with a high level of attention to detail.
We are looking for a dedicated team player, who can hit the ground running.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Supporting and displaying a strong safety culture at all times Production of concrete using multiple systems and processes Allocating and assigning loads to drivers Stock management and coordination of deliveries Managing contractors carrying out site maintenance Yard maintenance and front-end loader operation Forklift operation and manual handling of bagged products About you
You might come from a building, construction or logistics background.
In saying that, we will provide you with training on all our systems, to set you up for a rewarding career with us.
Everything can be trained, except for the right attitude.
You'll need to bring that with you
There is a requirement to use various computer programs, so it's essential that you have intermediate computer skills.
In addition, it's expected that you'll display the following:
Be a team player who is self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised Be able to navigate your way around a computer, while having intermediate computer skills in either Microsoft Word & Excel or Google Docs Have a willingness to go the extra mile, while supporting a strong team culture Be passionate about safety, with a strong work ethic, and results focused Have effective communication skills and work under pressure Be able to physically perform all duties associated with the position Driver's license and own transport is essential.
Additionally, FEL & FL competencies will be highly regarded As part of the recruitment process, successful applicants will be required to complete a Police Check, as well as pass a pre-employment medical including functional assessment, and IDAS (Drug & alcohol screening).
