We are looking for an Assistant Venue Manager to support our Venue Manager with all things front of house, together with our restaurant bar.Our team is lively, our service is fast, so you will need to be outgoing, approachable, positive, and genuinely passionate about our industry.With service exclusively during lunch hours, across seven days, this role provides a unique chance to manage day shifts only, letting you balance the thrill of a high-energy venue with a supportive schedule.In this role you will:Work hands-on with your team, providing training, coaching and keeping them motivated along the way.Oversee the running of the restaurant bar.Ensure an exceptional guest experience and gather feedback for ongoing improvement.Partner with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver great food every time.Support the Venue Manager with all things financial, such as stock management, COGS, labour management etc.Ensure the restaurant complies with food safety and other compliance requirements.Work in conjunction with our Reservations team to support the booking process.What you bring to the table:Be genuinely passionate about our industry, with a strong work ethic and ability to lead our young team by example.Be a seasoned hospitality professional, with demonstrated management experience.Strong wine knowledge, ideally with WSET certificate will be highly regarded.Display strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor and lead a large and diverse team.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to build relationships with guests, suppliers, and other department heads.What's in it for you?Competitive salary including tips.Opportunity and support for growth.Work within a hatted restaurant on the Peninsula.Complimentary yearly stays in the hotel.Rare work/life balance in the hospitality industry.35% discount on all dining in hotel.35% discount on Willow Creek wine.Great family & friend accommodation rates.We look forward to receiving your application
