Bright Light Agribusiness (BLA) is one of the largest private owners of almond farms in Regional Victoria and is an integrated almond producer that operates a state-of-the-art almond processing facility.
The Company is rapidly expanding its operations and is looking to invest further in its workforce and processes.
A new position has become available in the finance and accounts team due to an internal promotion.
If you are a highly motivated and resourceful individual who is working towards qualifying as an accountant, we would like to hear from you.
About the role: This is a full-time role and is ideal for an aspiring accountant who is starting out in their career.
You will be working in a close-knit team tasked with providing cross-functional support.
Specific tasks include the following: Handle all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Payable including recording transactions and reconciliation of balances.Prepare/process payments and conduct daily bank reconciliations.Reconciliation of inter-company balances.Record daily transactions and complete the posting process to various accounts.Assist in the annual forecast and budget process.Assist in preparing Business Activity Statements.Assist in compiling/generating/preparing information required by tax agents and/or external auditors.
The candidate is expected to be actively involved during the annual audit process.General administration of documents and compliance with regulatory requirements (ASIC, SRO and ATO).Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.The successful candidate should possess the following: A recent graduate in the field of Accountancy, Commerce or Finance.Good analytical skills and attention to detail.Solid grounding in accounting fundamentals.Good communication skills, both spoken and written.Self-motivated and ability to either work autonomously or as part of a team.Moderate to advanced Excel skills.Competent proficiency in Microsoft Office.As part of the Company's commitment to ongoing development and growth, the Company will provide study sponsorship to eligible candidates.
