We are truly a challenger brand, with challenger spirit.As an Infrastructure Solution Designer at Optus, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our network and infrastructure solutions, enabling seamless digital and IT operations across the business. This is a dynamic, design-focused role where you'll collaborate with diverse teams to architect, implement, and optimise resilient network infrastructures that drive performance, scalability, and innovation. You'll be the go-to expert for network integration, cloud connectivity, and infrastructure enhancement, ensuring our systems meet both current demands and future growth.The day to dayDesign and develop network-centric infrastructure solutions to support Optus' IT and digital platforms.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate network and infrastructure designs seamlessly across systems.Assess and implement strategies for improving network reliability, performance, and scalability.Monitor and troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues, ensuring effective and timely resolution.Research emerging technologies, recommending solutions aligned with business goals.Document network designs, infrastructure configurations, and processes to support knowledge-sharing and maintain compliance standards.Experience requiredProven experience in designing scalable, high-performance infrastructure with a strong emphasis on network solutions.Expert knowledge and proven experience with technologies such as MPLS, MP-BGP, OSPF, Wireless, DNAC/Catalyst Centre and ISE.Extensive knowledge of cloud-based networking technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.In-depth understanding of network infrastructure components, storage, and virtualisation.Experience managing and troubleshooting complex network environments in enterprise settings.Proficiency with automation and scripting tools, such as Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell, to support network operations.Strong problem-solving skills focused on delivering innovative, network-oriented solutions within a collaborative team setting.The good stuff …3 days in the office, 2 days remote – with flexible hours to suitInclusive paid parental leave, up to 14 weeks for the primary care giver.Access to resources, webinars and support via the 'Parents at Work portal'.Own your own growth by accessing an extensive online and facilitator led learning catalogue.Connect at work through one of our employee-led volunteer groups.Vibrant campus life, variety of facilities including restaurants, cafes, gymnasium, GP, and post office.Easy travel options to Sydney Campus: Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes).At Optus, we are strengthened by others and that means valuing diversity and saying 'yes' to embracing individual differences.
