About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Workplace Health & Safety Manager APAC to lead regional safety initiatives and drive proactive programs that keep our people safe and enhance operational excellence across our industrial bakeries, facilities, and sites in APAC.
In this role, you will provide strategic leadership, expert guidance, and hands-on support to ensure the implementation of best-in-class health and safety practices throughout the APAC region.
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Operations Director APAC, you will collaborate with global and regional leaders and stakeholders to foster a safety-first culture and achieve our mission of maintaining world-class safety standards.
Key Responsibilities include: Lead the design and execution of the APAC Safety strategy in alignment with ARYZTA's Global Safety objectives.
Act as a trusted subject matter expert to senior leaders, providing guidance on health and safety matters.
Develop and implement safety management systems, policies, and processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Conduct risk assessments and lead the development of mitigation strategies for high-risk activities.
Track, analyse, and report safety metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safe work practices and operational excellence.
Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders on regional safety matters, including audits and compliance activities.
Promote a culture of safety through training, workshops, and effective communication of safety programs and expectations.
Provide leadership during health and safety emergencies, ensuring resolution and clear communication across all levels.
About You: We are seeking a proactive and hands-on safety leader who can inspire, motivate, and engage diverse teams to create a culture where safety is not just a priority but a deeply ingrained value.
To be successful in the role you will also bring: 5+ years of experience in leading safety in a global organisation within a manufacturing environment, ideally in the food or a similar industry.
Proven expertise in developing and standardising policies, standards and procedures at a regional scale.
Strong leadership traits and commitment to achieving high Health & Safety standards and targets.
In-depth knowledge of ANZ safety regulations, standards, and best practices with the ability to adapt to diverse regulations across APAC countries.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective safety strategies across multi-site, geographically dispersed operations.
Proven experience in leading change and embedding a proactive safety mindset.
Skilled at influencing and engaging with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret safety data, identify trends, and develop targeted solutions.
Ability to navigate and build trust within multicultural teams across the APAC region.
Expertise in safety management systems, incident reporting tools, and the Microsoft Office suite.
Availability for occasional travel primarily within the APAC region.
