Work Type: Permanent Full Time Location: SA Start Date: 7/10/2019 Earn 70% of Billings or $150/hr DPA Replacement Position Available Flexible Hours and Contract Terms Offered POSITION: Permanent Full Time or Part Time General Practitioner SURGERY OVERVIEW: Established in 2018.
All the facilities are new and first class.
There are a large number of families moving into the local area as well as an established population in the catchment area.
The practice is part of a large medical centre precinct that includes pharmacy, large physio, and gym.
SURGERY OWNERSHIP: The practice is privately owned.
SURGERY LAYOUT: Seven consulting rooms, a two bed treatment room, pathology collection room, administration office, and large tea room.
The practice is fully air-conditioned and as the practice was recently built, all the facilities are modern and at a very high standard.
SURGERY FACILITIES: The opening hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Most days there are 1 to 2 practitioners on, and standard appointments are 15 minutes, although doctors can arrange their appointments as they prefer.
The practice uses Best Practice software and it is 100% paperless.
The dedicated 60 bay car park is adjacent to a pharmacy and a strong trading Aldi supermarket, making it convenient for patients and doctors.
TREATMENT ROOM: 2 bed treatment room, immunisation fridge, oxygen, CPR, wound dressing trolley and equipment, ear syringe equipment, ECG, spirometry, iron infusion equipment, doppler, and other standard equipment you would find in a well-appointed treatment room.
ADMIN SETUP: There is a dedicated practice manager and administration staff.
The practice is fully accredited.
NURSING SERVICES: Full nurse coverage.
The nurses are also trained to complete GPMP's/TCAs/Health Assessments/Cycle of Care etc.
ALLIED HEALTH SERVICES: The practice is co-located with a pharmacy and a large physiotherapy practice.
Onsite psychologist and pathology collection.
PATIENT DEMOGRAPHICS: There are a large number of young families as well as elderly patients due to the number of age facilities in the region.
The area has a large amount of chronic disease patients.
BILLING ARRANGEMENTS: Bulk billing practice, but due to the prevalence of patients with chronic disease, there is a good opportunity to engage in GPMPs etc.
PATIENT FLOWS: There is a very large patient demand in the area due to the ageing doctor population and new families moving into the local area.
Seaford is one of the fastest growing suburbs in South Australia.
TOWN/SUBURB FACILITIES: The practice is located approximately 5 minutes from some of the best beaches in the world.
There is an adjacent Aldi supermarket and it is a short drive to a major shopping centre.
Seaford Heights is a 30 minute drive from the Adelaide CBD.
SKILLS OR INTERESTS SOUGHT: The practice would like to attract a GP that is interested in family health.
An interest in women's health would be advantageous.
There is a lack of skin cancer services in the area and this would be an excellent opportunity for a new doctor.
CONTRACT TERMS: $150 per hour guarantee or at least 70%, whichever is higher.
Flexible hours and leave arrangements.
No onerous contracts.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: * FRACGP or VR qualifications preferred * General or Specialist registration with AHPRA No workforce certificate available as this is a metro area.
