The Recruitment People are a company providing Recruitment and HR Solutions.
We're currently recruiting for our client, located on the northern end of the Gold Coast, for their Australia/New Zealand business.
This hands-on, full-time, permanent role offers excellent career prospects, including progression to Group Accountant and involvement in the rollout of a new ERP system (Pronto).

As a Company Accountant/Finance Manager, you will play a key role within the Senior Management Team, overseeing the finance department.
This dynamic position requires a proactive approach, managing the financial operations for both Australia and New Zealand.
You'll lead a team of two, responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and report directly to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
Manage daily cash flow operations.
Oversee and lead the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Handle foreign exchange transactions and maintain the asset register.
Perform inventory costing, including price variance analysis and cost roll-ups.
Prepare and lodge GST and BAS.
Develop and manage budgets and forecasts.
Oversee payroll tax and FBT (Fringe Benefits Tax).
Manage foreign payments.
Engage with customers as part of supervising the AP/AR team.
Applicant Requirements
Qualified CA/CPA (preferred but not essential).
Experience with an ERP system (essential).
Strong proficiency in Excel.
Comprehensive understanding of cost accounting and general ledger processing (highly advantageous).
Experience in ERP system implementation (desirable).
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and creative thinking for business challenges.
Proven ability to build strong business relationships and effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Skills and Attributes
A hands-on attitude with the ability to lead and drive innovation.
Strong computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems.
Capability to train and structure a team, with a particular focus on payroll management.
Collaborative team player with a focus on growth and continuous improvement.
Other Information
This is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid work option.
