Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Manager at Civil1 Pty Ltd in Sydney, NSW. The Project Manager will be responsible for expediting project timelines, managing inspections, overseeing logistics, and ensuring efficient project delivery.
Duties and responsibilities:
Working closely with the Director and Site supervisor/Forman to manage all stages of the project.
Overseeing multiple projects at a time from initial stage to practical completion including project planning, cost control, and budgeting.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, sub-contractors & suppliers.
Monitor and optimize safety procedures and adhere to relevant safety regulations by monitoring project progress and inspecting construction sites.
Responsible for quality control documentation, i.e., SWMS, ITPS, etc.
Sound understanding of engineering drawings, reports, specifications, and implement accordingly.
Sound knowledge about survey & set out, earthwork, geotechnical issues & shoring works.
Proven track record of ability to complete projects in due time and within stipulated budget.
Managing the use of machinery, plants/equipment & manpower as per project requirements.
Solid understanding of safety and management principles and practices relevant to the construction industry.
Attend all required trainings, meetings, discussions, SWMS induction, safety procedures, and all relevant compliance related to any project.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management and/or Project Management highly preferred.
Proven experience managing civil projects from conception to completion, with a strong understanding of construction processes and regulations.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to mitigate project risks effectively.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a culture of safety on construction sites.
Drivers Licence and White card.
