Expression of Interest: EDMR Therapy Specialist We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) Trauma-Informed Therapists to join a variety of respected organisations offering both permanent and contractual opportunities.
These roles provide a chance to work with individuals who have experienced trauma, using evidence-based therapeutic methods in a supportive, client-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality trauma-informed therapy, primarily using the EMDR modality.
Assess and develop individual treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Offer a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore and process their trauma.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external services when necessary.
Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation.
Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in EMDR and trauma therapy.
Minimum Requirements:
Formal qualifications and registration in psychology, social work, counselling, or related field.
EMDR-trained and accredited.
Experience working with clients who have experienced trauma, particularly complex or PTSD-related trauma.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience working in a range of settings, including private practice, hospitals, and community organisations.
Familiarity with other therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT) is an advantage.
Ongoing professional development and engagement with clinical supervision.
